Oleson player of day for Crosswoods Men’s League

Dave Oleson was player of the day with a low net round of 65 in Crosswoods Men’s Golf League results from May 1.

Game of the day was two best balls of four.

Roger Weis had the individual low net on the front nine, and Oleson on the back nine. Dan Davis had a chip-in for birdie on hole 5, and John Jensen on hole 2.

First-place teams were Dave Schrupp, Marty Appel, Jerry Bourassa and Bob Hinkley on the front nine; and Oleson, Jim Ritter, Pat McAlpine and Ken Olsen on the back nine.

Second-place teams were Weis, Al Stans, Don Rotehr and Robert Jones on the front nine; and John Pribyl, Don Miller, Jim Delaney and Charlie Peterson on the back nine.

New members are welcome at 8 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hole in one

Jeff Helland, Breezy Point, aced the 135-yard 15th hole at Crosswoods Golf Course in Crosslake on May 4 using a 9 iron.

It was the first hole in one this season.
