Girls hockey: Lightning lose two straight

Alyssa Koslowski and Mackenzie Rickard netted goals for Northern Lakes, but the Lightning fell to Prairie Centre 9-2 on Friday, Dec. 15, in a Mid-State Conference game.

Ari LeMieur recorded two assists for the Lightning, while Savannah Abear recorded one of her own.

With the loss, the Lightning move to 3-4 on the season.

Sydney Tietz netted a pair of goals for the Northern Lakes Lightning in a 5-3 non-conference loss to the Willmar Cardinals Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Koslowski also scored for a Lightning team that held onto a 3-2 lead in the second period before the Cards scored three unanswered goals, two of which came on the power play.

Lightning goalie Maddie Wahoske stopped 18 shots.
