Boys hockey: Lightning beat Prairie Centre in OT

The Lightning boys hockey team's season season began in exciting fashion as Northern Lakes topped Prairie Centre 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Junior Dylan Mesenbrink both goals for the Lightning, while Zach Spalj recorded the team's only assist.

Both teams scored a goal in the second period of the game, and the game remained scoreless the 3:01 mark of the overtime period, when Mesenbrink picked up the game winner.

Goalie Wyatt Fink stopped 31 shots in the game
