Patriots 3rd at Mid-State meet

Luke Tangen's round of 83 helped Pequot Lakes finish third at the Mid-State Conference meet on Monday, May 14, at The Preserve at Grand View Lodge. Crosby-Ironton's Cayden Turk earned medalist honors with a 75.

Tigers 13th at St. Cloud

The Pine River-Backus boys' golf team finished 13th at the St. Cloud Apollo Invitational on Monday, May 14, at Territory Golf Club.

Brady Raph carded a round of 73 to lead the Tigers while teammate Keenan Dahl shot 77.

On Thursday, May 10, Pequot Lakes finished third behind Minnewaska and Crosby-Ironton at Cuyuna Country Club in Deerwood. Ben Golden paced the Patriots with a round of 83.

Team scores: 1-Minnewaska 326, 2-Crosby-Ironton 339, 3-Pequot Lakes 355, 4-Pierz 380, 5-East Central 427.

Individual medalist: 1-Isaac Burgass (Minnewaska) 326

On Tuesday, May 8, Pequot Lakes finished second behind Staples-Motley while Pine River-Backus was fourth at Whitetail Run Golf Course in Wadena. Brady Raph was medalist for the Tigers with a 77 while Luke Tangen led the Patriots with an 81.
