The Pequot Lakes Revolution Dance Team competed at the 2018 Edina Live Love Dance Competition on Saturday, Jan, 6, with the team placing fourth in the high kick category and fifth in jazz.

"Varsity had two great performances on Saturday," coach Melissa Holland said. "We made a lot of changes to our kick routine over winter break and it was great to finally see it on the floor. We received a couple eights and nines in choreography, difficulty, and kicks. In the coming weeks we are going to continue to clean the new material and work on increasing our kick height and technique.

"We also made some adjustments in jazz and the team executed the changes very well. It was not our cleanest performance, but the athletes danced with a lot of strength and confidence. We have a conference jazz competition on Thursday, so this week we are going to focus on cleaning up our movements and technique."

Junior varsity dancers earned a second-place in high kick and a third-place finish in jazz.

The teams will compete at a conference jazz meet on Thursday, Jan. 11 at Crosby-Ironton.
