“The three seniors all played really well, and the whole team played really well for the seniors,” CIA coach Lindsay Keener said.

Next stop for the Eagles is the Borealis Conference tournament Friday and Saturday at Lumen Christi in Anchorage. CIA is the top seed in the tournament. The Eagles are 8-0 in the league this year.

CIA opens tournament play at Friday in 3 p.m. in the semifinals against the winner of the Birchwood-Holy Rosary match. If the Eagles win, they play in the championship match at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. A win puts CIA in the state tournament. A loss means CIA will have to come through the second-place bracket Saturday.

Ninilchik is seeded second at the tournament.
