Peninsula Oilers defeat Fire in home finale, 7-2

Chris Mallory had four RBIs, Mike Miller scored three runs and James Mannara pitched six shutout innings of relief as the Peninsula Oilers defeated the Athletes in Action Fire 7-2 Saturday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

It was the final home game for the Oilers, who clinched the Alaska Baseball League regular-season title Friday.

Peninsula (23-12 ABL) begins the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, Kan., Aug. 3.
