Oilers lead ABL in pitching
The Mat-Su Miners took over the top slot for batting average from the Peninsula Oilers in the latest edition of the Alaska Baseball League Conference Leaders.
The Miners are hitting .252 as a team, while the Oilers are second in the league with a .249 average in cumulative stats through Sunday.
Peninsula still has the top pitching staff in the league by a healthy margin, boasting a 2.04 ERA. The Anchorage Bucs are second at 2.96.
