Letter to the editor: Thanks for help with Pequot Lakes area map

Body:

I am the owner of The Wobbly Wardrobe referenced in the letter from the manager of The AmericInn. She is very gracious to thank me for the Pequot Lakes Area Map, but I would like to clarify who was involved in the team that made the map happen.

First, it could not have happened without the financial support of Pequot Lakes Community Action and the businesses who stepped up to advertise on the map, without whom we could not have printed it. Special thanks is due to Dennis of The Olde Clock Shop, who brought it to Community Action. The Brainerd Lakes Chamber allowed us to license their area maps, and Evergreen Graphic Design is responsible for the wonderful layout.

It is my hope that the businesses and community will use the map as a tool to support and promote the over 120 businesses that make their home here.

The maps will be delivered to area businesses, resorts and the chamber for distribution on Thursday, Aug. 30, in time for Labor Day weekend. We need the help of every resident, business and community organization to get these maps into the hands of your customers and friends. Pick up two copies and give one to your friends or family who come to visit. Please support the businesses who stepped up to advertise and pay for the map to be printed.

We can all contribute to showing the breadth of what Pequot Lakes has to offer.

In closing, I am responsible for creating the business list. If you were not included, the error is mine alone. Please contact me at lleckband@gmail.com with any changes or if you would like your business to be included when we update and reprint in the spring. Thank you for your help!
