Thanks for a great Tsalteshi Spooky Trails event
Wow what a fun night of running and trick or treating on the trails. Even the weather was cooperative. Our first annual Tsalteshi Spooky Trails was so fun and could not have been as successful without the help of volunteers and sponsors. We reached our goal of fundraising and new memberships too!
Sponsors of the Trick or Treat Trail were: CPH Safe Kids Program, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Conoco Philips, Kaladi Brothers Coffee, Our Best Friends, Kenai Watershed Forum, Kenai Chamber of Commerce, AK State Troopers (AST), Soldotna Police Department (SPD), Central Emergency Services (CES), the wonderful Soldotna Public Safety Communications Department dispatchers who manned the CES, SPD and AST stations. The kids loved visiting all of you on the trails!
Costume Contest Prizes contributed by Veronica’s Coffee House, Our Best Friends, and Lisa Wells (Yummy Cookies).
Generous donations provided by CPH Safe Kids, Soldotna Professional Pharmacy and the City of Soldotna will help us continue to provide quality groomed and maintained trails for the community.
We would not have been able to pull this event off without the following fantastic volunteers: Robin and the Sisters at the chili table, Kristine and Brenda the overwhelmed registration women, Timing Masters Renee Merkes and Cathy Carrow, course set up and race crew including Bill Holt, Kent Peterson, Pat King, David Harvey, Joe Mooney and Dan Skipwith. Peter Micciche for his continued support of the trails and being our favorite emcee! There are many other volunteers who made this event a success! Many apologies if someone was missed. You know who you are thank you so much and see you next year!
