Hospitalists an important part of health care team
This is in regard to "Reader's doctor knows her best" (Lettr to the editor, Oct. 16). The misconception that I wanted to correct is the statement that the hospital "doesn't allow" your doctor to see you. Actually, your doctor chose a hospitalist to see her patients during their hospital stay. This allows your primary care physician to be more available in her office, not have to run back-and-forth between there and the hospital seeing patients, or to be on-call 24/7.
