Library to sponsor Santa's Bobbin' into Town events Dec. 9
As the library's part of the Pequot Lakes holiday celebration on Saturday, Dec. 9, magician Bob, along with Santa and Mrs. Claus, will entertain children starting at 3 p.m. at the Cole Memorial Building (next to the Bobber water tower) in Pequot Lakes.
And Jingles the Elf will be there, of course, making balloon animals. Kids, you do not want to miss this!
Speaking of kids ...
Have you been in the children's room at the library recently? Do we have monkeys? You know we've got lots of them. Thanks to Taffie Goerges and Bill Offuit, our monkey trees are full.
But maybe you haven't seen the daddy of all our monkeys. He lives in the children's room with the pony. Be sure you look for him next time you're in. You can't really miss him; he's probably bigger than some of you are.
As always, thanks to all of our volunteers. You're the best!
Thanks, also, to all our patrons. We appreciate your donations of books and money. We wouldn't have a library without all of you. We hope you and your families have a most blessed Thanksgiving.
Notes about this and that
• Come in and visit our Cozy Corner Book Shop. We have used adult and kids' books for sale, and games and puzzles, for very reasonable costs. You might find last-minute gifts for someone on your list.
• Are you an Amazon shopper? If you are and you use the URL smile.amazon.com and signify "Friends of Pequot Lakes Community Library Inc" as your donee (they'll tell you how to do it), Amazon will donate a certain percentage of everything eligible that you purchase to our Friends of the Library.
It doesn't cost you any more, and it's a help to us. Try it and see how easy it is. This goes on all year long, not just over the holiday season. #YouShopAmazonDonates. Thanks, Amazon!
