Community connections boost learning experience
When working together, families, schools and communities can successfully make a difference to improve student learning. Soldotna High School Family and Consumer Science students have had unique opportunities this semester to visit with local businesses and individuals. Students were able to make a connection with business leaders and their community regarding services and careers.
We would like to thank the following individuals and businesses for taking their valuable time and welcoming our students to make this important connection: Woman's Way Midwifery, Central Peninsula Hospital, Planned Parenthood, Frontier Community Services, Safeway, Frosos, Mykel's Restaurant, AK Custom Meats, Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, Samantha Vanvleet, and Tracy Silta.
