Be prepared for the winter months ahead
The violent winds that followed our first snow of the year brought havoc to the Peninsula in the form of rolling blackouts and slick roads. As one meteorologist put it -- "We're in it. Welcome to winter."
If the recent storm caused you to realize you're missing a piece in your winter survival arsenal, please take a moment and remedy the situation.
It is looking like we are in store for a long Peninsula winter and it is important for families to be prepared for the worst -- no electricity, gas and plenty of snow. Expect the worst and you won't be surprised.
