Breezy Point man named CRMC nurse manager
Gordon McArthur, of Breezy Point, was recently promoted to nursing director at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, where he oversees the medical/surgical, oncology, wound care and obstetrics departments.
He had served as CRMC's medical/surgical nurse manager since May 2015.
McArthur has more than 27 years of experience, including positions at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis for 16 years. He held positions as patient care manager in Abbott's Neuroscience Unit, assistant nurse manager in the MedSurg Neuro Intensive Care Unit, and as a staff nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. McArthur also worked as a nurse in Anchorage, Alaska, and Ontario, Canada.
McArthur holds a Bachelor's degree in nursing from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and is working toward a Master's degree in nursing at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. He also holds a graduate certificate in organization leadership from St. Catherine University in St. Paul.
