Nisswa parks offers youth soccer, football
The Nisswa Parks and Recreation Department has announced its youth fall sports programs will begin on Saturday, Sept. 9.
The soccer program will stress team play, sportsmanship, participation and fun. Practices will be divided into working on fundamentals, skills, ball handling and scrimmaging.
Practices and games will vary between Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings.
Players are encouraged to have shin guards, must wear tennis shoes or rubber cleats, and dress for the weather.
The flag football program provides non-tackling football for boys and girls. It will teach basic skills and concepts of football.

Each program will play area teams.
The deadline to register for both sports is Thursday, Sept. 1, with a cost of $50. Practices and games for both will take place on the Nisswa Park Baseball Fields.
