Initially, segments of Highway 6 through Emily will be reduced to a single lane, from sunrise to sunset, Mondays through Saturdays. Later in the project, northbound Highway 6 will remain open on a single, narrow, temporary lane while southbound Highway 6 is closed and detoured. "Each property value is established based on actual sales which occurred in the marketplace," noted Gary Griffin, land services supervisor for property valuation and classification. "If comparable properties in a neighborhood during the study period sold for more, valuations will be higher; if comparable nearby properties sold for less, valuations go down."
