Crow Wing proposes bike trail connecting to Cuyuna state recreation area
The Crow Wing County Land Services Department wants to hear from the public about a proposal to develop 11.64 miles of new trails in east-central Crow Wing County, within Cuyuna and Rabbit Lake Township, as a designated single-track mountain bike recreational trail system.
The trail would connect and link to more than 30 miles of state and regionally significant existing mountain bike trails to the southwest, in the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, and create a contiguous loop of 40.64 miles of designated single-track mountain bike trails in the county.
The deadline to submit written comments is 5 p.m. Jan. 20. Comments will be responded to in writing and presented to the Crow Wing County Board prior to its decision on the proposal.
The proposed trail designation application and trail suitability analysis can be accessed by clicking the "Crow Wing Listens" weblink at www.crowwing.us. Copies are available from the Land Services Department or by calling 218-824-1010.
Written comments may be e-mailed to email@example.com, mailed to Crow Wing County Land Services Department, Attn: Cuyuna Trails, Land Services Building, 322 Laurel St., Suite No. 15, Brainerd, MN 56401, or faxed to 218-824-1126..
