Luck of the draw: Allen pulls out the win in Manhattan Beach

ATV lands on woman in crash at BIR

A 43-year-old woman suffered extensive facial injuries in an all-terrain vehicle crash after the ATV landed on her at 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Brainerd International Raceway, north of Baxter.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported the ATV was traveling on the roadway when it stopped, suddenly causing the driver and passenger to be thrown from ATV. The ATV then landed on the woman, Kristin Lee Roath of Prior Lake. Roath was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd to be treated for injuries.

The driver of the ATV, a 21-year-old man from Sioux Falls, S.D., was arrested for criminal vehicular operation.
