Man struck, killed by CN train in eastern Minn.

GRAND LAKE, Minn. -- A 34-year-old man died after he was struck by a Canadian National train in Grand Lake Township Tuesday night, June 5.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported that the man was struck on the tracks on the 7000 block of Munger Shaw Road at about 11:40 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name wasn’t released pending notification of the family. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.

Grand Lake Township is about 20 miles west of Duluth.
