PLUMMER, Minn. -- Authorities on Tuesday, May 29, released the identity of a 45-year-old man killed in an ATV crash that happened about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Plummer in far northwest Minnesota.
The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Department said James Congdon was riding the ATV home from a neighbor’s house about four blocks away when his 2008 Kawasaki overturned while he was negotiating a corner.
He was not wearing a helmet, said the sheriff’s department.
His body was taken to the Forensic Pathology Department at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks for a an autopsy. The preliminary report indicates that head trauma was likely the cause of death, said the sheriff’s department.
The incident is still under investigation.
