BEMIDJI—A 50-year-old man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:16 p.m. on Highway 2 at 65th Avenue Northwest in Pike Bay Township in Cass County, near the Chippewa National Forest, just southeast of Bemidji.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jon Hodgson, 50, Bemidji, was traveling west on Highway 2 when a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Derek Winslow, 32, Cass Lake, failed to yield and the vehicles collided at 65th Avenue Northwest.

Hodgson was taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Winslow and his two passengers—Justin Hunt, 27, and Angela Poter, 26, both of Cass Lake—were not injured.

All those involved in the collision were wearing seat belts, the state patrol reported. The Cass County Sheriff's Office and Leech Lake Tribal Police assisted the state patrol at the scene.
