Emily United Methodist to host community services workshop
The public is invited to a free fire and emergency community services workshop from 3-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at United Methodist Church in Emily.
The leaders will be Emily Fire Chief Kenny Roden and first responder Lee Ann Werner. This is another in a series of Emily area community educational forums.
Roden and Werner will discuss home and cabin fire protection, what to do in an emergency or accident and other safety measures and department community services. They will note common dangers around the home, fire extinguisher use, home alarm equipment and accident prevention. There will be time for questions and answers.
The community is invited to watch for more community summer workshops - frauds and scams, downsizing your home, and area human trafficking.
The church is across from the Emily Post Office and Ace Hardware near the intersection of Highway 6 and County Road 1.
