Caregivers support class to begin Oct. 3
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a class designed to provide participants with the needed skills to take care of themselves as caregivers and increase their confidence to provide care in difficult situations.
Faith in Action for Cass County will sponsor the six-week program at 1 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Oct. 3 at the Lifehouse Coffee Shop in Pine River. Classes are 90 minutes each week and provide time for questions and sharing.
The certified class leaders will share tools and resources to help reduce stress, improve self-confidence, balance life, communicate better, increase decision-making ability and learn to locate other helpful resources. Class materials include The Caregiver Helpbook, specifically designed for this evidence-based course.
Class-time care for participants' family members can be requested through Faith in Action respite services in advance at no cost.
Classes are free. The Caregiver Helpbook can be purchased, or the cost can be covered by a scholarship if needed.
