WAPOA to host AIS roundtable Saturday

The Whitefish Area Property Owners Association will host the 2017 Aquatic Invasive Species Roundtable from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, at the Ideal Community Center.

The roundtable discussions and topics will include a report on the Crow Wing County 2017 AIS Plan, legislative developments, AIS issues for 2017, the AIS Detectors/Trackers Program, and AIS prevention best practices.

The WAPOA planning team believes in remaining vigilant, having the latest and best information and sharing ideas and resources in the battle with non-native AIS.

The public is invited to attend and is encouraged to contact Tom Watson at 218-543-6064 or 612-751-0124 to RSVP.

Coffee, tea, beverages and treats will be provided.
