Browser: Learn how to get ebooks on your devices Saturday- Adult winter reading program begins

Friends and neighbors,

Guess what? More free stuff from your Pine River Public Library and Kitchigami Regional Library in conjunction with the Pine River-Backus Community Education program!

This time it is a class on how to get ebooks on your devices. What devices, you may ask? You can get books and magazines to read on your smartphone, tablet or computer.

If you want to know how to do this magic, attend the free class Saturday, Jan. 21, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Pine River Library, my home.

For more information, sign up through Pine River-Backus Community Education at or call 218-587-2080.

Bring your library card and device to be used for e-materials. There will be handouts with links for resources. These will helpfully be discussed in the class. This is for you from us because we care about you.

We have begun our winter reading program for adults, "Snow Time to Read." Come in to the library and get your signup sheet. You don't want to miss out. After 15 books you get a swell cup, which you can then fill with the beverage of your choice to consume while you read even more books.

You're reading anyway. Why not join your neighbors and get a little something extra?

I remain,
