1 killed, 14 injured in crash near Anchorage
ANCHORAGE — One person has been killed and 14 others injured in a three-car collision on the Seward Highway south of Anchorage.
Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters tells The Associated Press that one person has died in the accident, which happened about 1:40 p.m. near Indian, or Mile 100 of the highway.
There are 14 other people injured in the accident, two seriously.
Two cars collided head-on, and then a third vehicle ran into them. Peters says one of the vehicles appears to be a large van, which was full of passengers.
Peters said some onlookers climbed rocks to get a better look, and one person broke a leg after falling off.
She asked others not do the same since there are so many people already in need of medical attention
