4 ounces unsweetened chocolate

½ cup butter

2 cups sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

4 eggs

1 cup flour

¼ teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 350. Melt the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes.

In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, vanilla and eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add the flour, salt and chocolate mixture and blend well. Spread the batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool. Makes 24 brownies. Serve in the upper right compartment of the serving tray.
