About 80 people joined the MNSurf Company's fourth annual PaddlePalooza on Sunday, Sept. 3, paddling in kayaks or canoes or on standup paddleboards from Nisswa Lake to Gull Lake.

This is a fun event for paddling enthusiasts to gather, as well as a benefit for Heartland Animal Rescue Team in Baxter and Discovery Horse in Fort Ripley.

The 5-mile journey took paddlers to Zorbaz on Gull, with other stops along the way. A paddle party included music, food and beverages at Zorbaz.

Evan Lawrence, of MNSurf Company, said Sunday's weather was the best in event history.
