Powerful Tools for Caregivers class offered in Pine River

Caring for someone with a chronic illness such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson's disease, chronic pain or stroke can be stressful physically, emotionally and financially.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational program designed to provide people with the tools they need to take care of themselves. Whether providing care for a family member or friend in your home or at a distance, this class can help caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate feelings, balance your life, increase your ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.

The 1 1/2-hour classes will meet weekly on Tuesdays for six weeks beginning Sept. 8, at Good Samaritan Society - Riverside Senior Living Apartments, 2189 White Pine Point Rd. S.W., Pine River.
