On behalf of the members of the Pine River Chamber of Commerce and the board, I would like to thank all those who in any way helped promote or participate the annual Parade of Lights Day in Pine River.

Thank you to the Pine River Library, United Methodist Church, Heritage Group North, Market Square Farmer's Market, Pine River American Legion and Auxiliary, the "Shop Local" committee, Chris Hanneken, Phil Kinnunen, Miss Pine River Royalty, Christensen Forest Products and all the donors to the Parade of Lights Day fireworks, who are listed in a separate ad in this issue of the Echo Journal.

All of those listed chose to conduct an event or participate in some way during Parade of Lights week. Thank you also to the Pine River Police Department and the city of Pine River for helping with crowd and traffic control during the parade.

It wouldn't be a Parade of Lights without lighted units and our thanks to all those who chose to decorate their floats with lights that gave a bright glow in Pine River that evening. Winners of the Parade of Lights were Paws, Claws & Hooves 4-H Club in the category of Best Use of Lights In Theme and Dave Rudlang Logging in the category of Best Overall Use of Lights. Both received a $100 Chamber gift certificate.

Next year's Parade of Lights is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10.
