I spied a pecan pie with a handmade crust, beautifully baked to a caramel color. It was in a red pie dish, and there was one piece missing. You could instantly tell that the integrity of the pie was solid since the cross section was revelatory of all the nutty, sweet, crusty excellence. I didn't even wait to sit down; I hardly even waited to put a fork into it. PineandLakes.com Illustration

One plan that I like to share with my patients is the Mediterranean diet. It's not a diet that you start and stop. It's a specific pattern of eating, not specific dishes or cuisine. Its pyramid reflects the traditional food patterns of countries around the Mediterranean whose people had little incidence of heart disease, diabetes or cancer. PineandLakes.com Illustration

Buddy is a short, 2-year-old tabby. He was wandering around lost outside in search of a warm place to call home. Buddy is a very friendly guy who loves his belly rubbed and lounging around. He will make a great companion for a home looking for a friendly cat. Come in and see if yours is it!

There are dozens of recipes giving ideas on ways to use that leftover turkey. Some looked quite appealing, some used ingredients most people would never have on hand, and some just required way too much effort. PineandLakes.com Illustration
