Actual Wolf to make Grassroots debut Nov. 17
Actual Wolf will make his series debut for Grassroots Concerts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Live Well Night Club and Coffee Bar at the Journey Church in Nisswa.
Actual Wolf, aka Eric Pollard, is a Grand Rapids resident. He refers to himself as "the dude with red glasses" who blends the grit and soul of country music with the rhythm of rock and the twang of Americana.
Pollard had been a sideman in various bands around the state, most notably Retribution Gospel Choir and Low.
Pollard assumed his stage name after a friend suggested that, while bands with "wolf" in their title were plentiful, he was an "actual wolf."
He recently signed with Red House Records. His Red House debut, "Faded Days," is a blend of 1970s-era Neil Young, mixed with Springsteen and The War on Drugs.
