Author Krueger to sign books at Turtle Town in Nisswa
William Kent Krueger, author of the Cork O'Connor series as well as "Ordinary Grace," will sign copies of his new book, "Desolation Mountain," from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Turtle Town Books and Gifts in Nisswa.
This 17th novel in the Cork O'Connor series features Stephen, Cork's son, who has been experiencing ominous visions. When a private plane carrying a senator and her family crashes into "Desolation Mountain," Stephen realizes that his vision of a great bird shot from the sky has become a terrifying reality. Unable to ignore Stephen's premonition that something worse is coming, Cork initiates his own perilous investigation into the crash as other first responders mysteriously disappear.
In an early review, Publisher's Weekly called "Desolation Mountain" "haunting ... Krueger skillfully combines the otherworldly setting of the Minnesota wilds with Native American lore to create a winning mystery with more than a few surprises."
Krueger's books have made the New York Times Bestselling List numerous times. "Ordinary Grace" won the 2014 Edgar Award for Best Novel.
Krueger lives in St. Paul with his family.
"Desolation Mountain" was released Aug. 21. To reserve a copy, call Turtle Town at 218-963-4891.
