Eco camps offered by Happy Dancing Turtle

Happy Dancing Turtle will host five sessions of Eco Camp this summer at the Hunt Utilities Group Campus.

Children attending Eco Camp will learn about ways to live more sustainably through experiments, projects, crafts, games, field trips and activities. The camps will focus on energy conservation, food and water security, and environmental stewardship.

The camp for children in grades 5-6 will be Aug. 19-23.

The week-long session for school-age children runs Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuition for each school-age session is $75. Tuition includes snacks, supplies, fees, and a T-shirt.

Registration forms are available at www.happydancingturtle.org or can be picked up at the Pine River Chamber Information Center, Pine River Public Library, Pine River-Backus Family Center, Pine River-Backus School District Office, Pequot Lakes Public Library, and Pequot Lakes Community Education Office. Sessions will be limited to 15 children for school-age sessions. Registrations are due a minimum of two weeks prior to each session and cancellation of sessions due to lack of registrations will be determined one week prior to each session.
