Crosslake WinterFest Ice Races attracts 26 entries

There were a total of 26 entries for the Crosslake WinterFest Ice Races on Saturday, Feb. 2.  

Taking first in the studded tire class was Isaac Wannebo of Manhattan Beach in car No. 7x, with second place going to Shawn Pratt from Merrifield in the Superman car. Drew Seeker from Crosslake captured third place in car 13.  

In the age 15 and under class, Logan Pratt of Merrifield in the T4 car took first with Dylan Nelson, also from Merrifield, in car No. 5, taking second, and Sarah Hines from Randall in car 21 taking third.  

In the rubber class, Shawn Pratt in his other Superman car took first, with Matt Borden in his other car 80 in second and Eli Baca from Crosslake in the 110 car taking third.  

Ice racing takes places at noon every Saturday on Big Pine Lake in front of the Cedar Chest as long as ice conditions permit. Spectators are welcome; admission is free.
