Stone honored by Warriors

Pequot Lakes’ freshman Alex Stone was selected valuable member of Brainerd Warriors Alpine skiing teams at a team banquet on Sunday, March 2, at Cragun’s Resort.

Stone was one of the top finishers are meets all season for the Warriors. Her older sister, Savannah, was Warrior MVP last season as a senior after finishing second overall at the state meet.

Another Pequot Lakes student, eighth-grader Grace McGuire, who honored as most improved skier for Brainerd.

Hannah Moen, Emily Aga and Ashley Fitterer were chosen team captains for the 2014-15 season for the Warrior girls.

Grant Kosobud was honored as the Brainerd boys’ team most valuable skier for the second straight year.

Boys’ team captains for 2014-15 are Ben Thoele, Cal Johnson and Gabe Gibson.
