The Tigers’ Megan Felthous led all scorers with 19 points.

“We have come a long ways in the ability to read each other on the court. We are connecting on more passes, which has resulted in more baskets,” said Felthous. “We still need to work on, as (coach) Randy Schwegel calls it, ‘thinking basketball.’ Athletically, all the pieces are in place. Mental focus is a key role in basketball.”

Free throws made the difference as PR-B made seven more free throws than the Bears.

The Tigers improved to 10-2 in their conference and 14-7 overall. PR-B is second in the conference behind Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. The Tigers were scheduled to play Nevis on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and then host Laporte on Thursday, Feb. 20.
