4th graders take first


The Pequot Lakes fourth-grade traveling girls’ basketball team took first place last weekend in Grand Rapids by winning three straight games versus Duluth East, Bemidji and a tough championship game versus Leech Lake. The team includes, back row from left, Brittany Joyce, Hannah McMahon, Morgan Eckes, Sonya Palmer and Coach Melissa Chaney; middle row, Elisa Flaws and Carly Chaney; and front row, Madison Reedy and Sydnie Wgeishofski.
