Breezy Point North Stars lose twice in Wisconsin

Blake Neumann scored Breezy Point’s lone goal as the North Stars fell to the Wisconsin Whalers 5-1 in a North American3 Junior Hockey League game on Saturday, Dec. 14, in Madison, Wis.

Goaltender Joey Bergquist stopped 41 of 45 shots for the North Stars.

On Friday, Dec. 13, Breezy Point netminder Troy Pierce registered 53 saves in the North Stars’ 7-4 loss to the Whalers.

The North Stars, who were outshot 60-33, had goals from Jon Plaszcz, Mitch Pierson, Russell Barone and Kyle Eberwein.

Isak Larson and Blake Neumann scored for Breezy Point.

The North Stars, 6-20-2 overall, are scheduled to host Twin City Steel at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at Breezy Point Arena.
