Nevis edges Tigers in opener


Sophomore guard Konrad Bueckers scored 24 points, but the Pine River-Backus boys’ basketball team was edged at Nevis 57-55 in a Northland Conference game and the season opener on Friday, Nov. 22.

The Tigers, who hosted Crosby-Ironton on Tuesday, Nov. 26, are scheduled to play a non-conference game at Isle on Thursday, Dec. 5.
