Sebeka eliminates Tigers in semifinals

Megan Felthous notched nine kills and nine digs for the third-seeded Pine River-Backus Tigers in a 3-0 loss to the second-seeded Sebeka Trojans in the North Subsection 6A quarterfinals on Friday, Oct. 25.

Sebeka won the match by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-19. PR-B finishes 11-11 overall.

After losing the first game, the Tigers improved with the next two games, but not enough to advance to the subsection final.

The second game was slightly closer as the Tigers jumped out to an early 10-5 lead, but slowly lost the advantage and Sebeka triumphed.

The third and final game was the closest, but the Tigers still lost by six points.

Megan Felthous led PR-B with nine kills and teammate Journey Howard had 11 set assists.
