Major hill improvements under way at Mount Ski Gull
Mount Ski Gull is entering its 51st season with a number of major improvements.
New tubing hill: Mount Ski Gull moved its tubing hill to an unoccupied slope at the far eastern side of the property. This will allow the organization to expand its parking lot by approximately 40 percent so people will not have to park on the highway. The hill will be larger and longer than the previous hill and will continue to have the hands-free cable tow.
Bunny Hill cable tow: Mount Ski Gull changed the slope of the hill to be more gradual and easy to ride. The landing areas (top and bottom) will also be larger and flatter. A new “slow-speed” cable tow replaces the old rope tow.
Alpine Racing lights: New lights have been installed on the Alpine Racing hill, used by the Warrior Alpine team, the Alpine Club and Adult Racing Leagues. The new lights conform to NJRS standards, not only making the hill safer, but allowing Mount Ski Gull to hold night races.
High speed rope tow/dedicated terrain park: The new “must have” at most ski areas is a high-speed rope tow, servicing a dedicated terrain park. A terrain park is an area that contains various features like jumps, rails, etc.
