Park Rapids defeated Patriots 5-2

Lauren Bengtson earned her 20th win of the season in Pequot Lakes’ 5-2 loss to host Park Rapids in a Mid-State Conference match on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Bengtson improved to 20-1 on the season at No. 4 singles. The Patriots’ Sydney Holt accounted for the other Pequot Lakes point with a win at No. 3 singles.

The Patriots were 2-3 in the Mid-State Conference and 12-4 overall before playing Wadena-Deer Creek on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Pequot Lakes was then scheduled to finish the rain-delayed Mid-State Conference tournament at Park Rapids on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Pequot Lakes will also compete at the Wadena-DC meet on Saturday, Sept. 28.
