Crosswoods Golf hosts youth tournament

Crosswoods Golf Course and Whistling Wolf Mini Golf courses hosted youth tournaments on Wednesday and Thursday, July 3-4.

On Thursday, July 4, Alex Call of River Falls, Wis., carded a 39 to win the boys age 13-over title while Jack Hoiberg of Ames, Iowa, was second with 46 and Hunter Clement of Crosslake third with 47.

In boys’ age 10-12 competition, Charlie Hoiberg of Ames, Iowa, was first with 47 while Sam Hedberg of North Branch was second with 50, and Rian Voit of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Sam Hoiberg of Ames, Iowa, tied for third with 51s.

In the girls’ division, Emma Coburn of Eden Prairie was first with 50 while Grace Link of Eden Prairie was second with 60 and Lilly Aaberg of Eden Prairie was third with 63.

At the par 3 course, Mckinnie Coburn of Eden Prairie was first with 48 while Nathan Hinze of Carver was second with 51. There was a tie for third between Logan Carlson of Crosslake and Brady Lyke of Elko, who both had 54.

On Wednesday, July 3, Blake Hobische of Buffalo was first in the age 12-over division while Riley Hobische of Buffalo and Ben Schellberg of Garnet Valley, Pa., tied for second.

In the 9-11 division, Jada Hobische of Buffalo was first while Brodie Olson of Crosslake and Dane Boozell of Crosslake tied for second.

In the 8-under group, Logan Choainard of Ramsey was first while Nathan Hinze of Carver was second and Brady Host of Browerville was third.
