Crosslake hosts youth golf tournaments
Candace Prigge, Joan Hasskamp, Deb Enger and Denise Millard shot a 10-under 62 to win the American Cancer Society’s Pink Ribbon Classic for the sixth time in 10 years on Tuesday, June 18, at Grand View Lodge’s Pines Golf Course.
The Garden Course winners for the third year in a row were Katie Wallace, Judi Moravec, Susan Marsolais and Cathy Seczko with a 5-under 30.
Both runner-up teams needed scorecard playoffs. On the Pines, Kay Gunnarson, Becky Butcher, Angie Sandelin and MaLinda Johannek needed a scorecard playoff to hold off Rhonda Mareck, Rachel Martin, Heather Carey and Nicole Lence for second place. Both teams shot a 65.
Millard and Mareck smashed the longest drives. Wendy Tanner and Lynn Panure drained the longest putts and Lence and Martin were closest to the pin.
On the Garden Course, Julie Hofius, Ellen Ogg, Paula West and Laurel Mezner knocked off Alison Potvin, Traci Potvin, Natalie Potvin and Kayla Dancer. Both teams shot 32s. Mezner made the longest putt. Lottie Oehrlein hit the longest drive and Barb Holmes was closest to the pin.
