Patriots win Bemidji Invitational

Pequot Lakes’ Maggie Heggerston fired a round of 77 to take medalist honors and help the Patriots win the eight-team Bemidji Invitational on Friday, May 17.

Pequot Lakes finished with 334, followed by Bemidji with 359. Emily Israelson finished second with a 79 for third-place Staples-Motley.

The Patriots are scheduled to play at Wadena-Deer Creek on Thursday, May 23.

Patriots 5th at St. Cloud

Pequot Lakes was fifth on Thursday, May 16, at the St. Cloud Country Club.

Detroit Lakes was first with 310 while the Patriots compiled 348. Heggerston’s 79 was four strokes off the lead, and tied her for eighth place as an individual.

Patriots win at Menahga

Pequot Lakes captured first place on Tuesday, May 14, at the Menahga Invitational at Blueberry Pines.

Israelson fired a 74 to beat out Heggerston’s 75 for medalist honors. The Patriots finished with 325 while Grand Rapids was second with 357.
