NASCAR headlines Street Car Showdown at BIR

NASCAR is coming to Brainerd International Raceway on Memorial Day weekend, highlighting three full days of racing action at the fifth annual Street Car Showdown.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series will bring authentic NASCAR racing to BIR on Saturday for the NAPA Know-How 125, a 50-lap, 125-mile race on BIR’s 2.5-mile, 13-turn Competition Road Course.

An hour-long practice session will be held Saturday morning, followed by an hour-long qualifying session at 1:45 p.m. and the race at 4:15 p.m.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series is a developmental program for young up-and-coming drivers who are working their way up to Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series.

BIR’s drag strip will be busy Friday through Sunday as the three-race Muscle Car Series kicks off, with time trials Friday and Saturday and eliminations Sunday.
