Porta wins high jump at Pillager meet

Pine River-Backus senior Megan Porta won the discus title and placed third in the high jump at the Pillager Invitational on Thursday, May 2.

Porta won the discus with a toss of 98 feet, 9 inches. She also reached 4 feet, 8 inches in the high jump. The Tiger boys were fifth in the 4x100 and 4x800 relays.

The Pine River-Backus girls were 10th while the boys were 11th in the standings.
