Eggena chosen MVP for Lightning girls

Senior forward Kaylyn Eggena was chosen most valuable player for the Northern Lakes Lightning girls’ hockey team at a recent banquet.

The forward, who finished with 24 goals and 15 assists in 25 games, was an All-Mid-State Conference selection.

Other all-conference players are senior defenseman Morgan Demars, four goals and 13 assists; senior forward Alex Palm, 15 goals and 11 assists; and senior goaltender Kat Jensen, 2.42 goals-against average and 91.4 save percentage. Receiving all-conference honorable mention was sophomore defenseman Hannah Zimmerman, sophomore forwards Mariah Reed and Megan Snyder, and freshman forward Isabella Abear.

Other awards include: Zimmerman, coaches award; and sophomore defenseman Mikaela Florey, most improved player. Other letterwinners are Madison Galligan, Sam Henrichs, Lexi Danielson, Erika Monson, Kim Jessen, Courtney Kittock, Stephanie DeGrote and Hailey Deutsch. Jo Jo Rischke was an honorary letterwinner.
